LAS-Checker provides useful security services needed for
those currently in charge of security. In other words, until now
when a visitor carries in a laptop computer, the hardware of the
laptop computer has been checked manually by the existing system. In
many cases, even this kind of inspection system is hardly available.
However, within a 10-second period, LAS-Checker can collect and
compare, ¡®the information stored in the laptop computer at the
entry¡¯ and ¡®the information stored at the exit¡¯, and detect what
changes have been made in the laptop computer so that security
managers can take proper security measures immediately.
LAS-Checker also provides reliable security measures for USB
key which is the crucial media in information leakage crimes. Most
of the companies have just been relying on the self-reports of the
visitors, and no proper measures have been available for secret
carry-ins of USB key. However, once LAS-Checker is installed, things
change.
Furthermore, countermeasures have become available in the
cases of complicity between the company¡¯s employee and outsider. In
